The original plan to dive with the great white sharks was this morning, but due to weather restrictions, it has been postponed until tomorrow. This meant for the first time of our brief trip, we had a free day today. Stayed at a very lovely place called Oom Piet Self Catering Accommodations.

Gansbaai is a small fishing village on the eastern side of False Bay, directly across from Cape Peninsula. The list of marine animals that live in the bay include whales, orcas, great white sharks, dolphins, and seals. The coast is dotted with whale watching sites, although we only saw one today in the distance.

For our free day we decided to make our way to a natural reserve where the locals go to look out to the wonderful views of walker bay. Since we are one with the locals we walked around the entrance avoiding any extra fees. Although still unclear if the fee was for the car or people walking in. We will never know.

These paths then led us to the Klipgat Cave

South Africa is known for its braai, which means "barbecue" in Afrikaans. For dinner this evening we purchased the necessary items and had ourselves a feast of chicken, sausage, and mushrooms!

Weather permitting, tomorrow morning we will finally be able to dive with the sharks. We are currently in our hotel room scared shitless of what tomorrow may bring.

Until tomorrow! Hopefully!
